Ideas of minimalism and transparency were key in the design to retain focus on the workshop and its display of work. By using a limited selection of basic materials (stone, concrete and glass) was I able to accomplish my goal. Furthermore, the choice of glass is prominent in both workshops to create a relationship between both spaces and additionally bring natural sunlight inside the building aiming down on the workshops, showroom and creations. The showroom is below the Off-white workshop and extends outside to an area similar to a public space. To mirror AutoFabrica and Off-white's brand values of creation, the long distances required to travel from one workshop to another is an incorporation of a sense of journey and freedom.

The inspiration behind my model is based off this sketch. It has since changed because the upper workshop was too difficult to mould and combine my ideas together.

Showroom to Upper Floor (Off-white):
The choice of floating stairs reflect the brand's modern, light and simplistic designs. Using concrete as the material choice represents Off-white's industrial influence demonstrated throughout their collections and flagship stores. Whereas, the curves of the stairs are a contrast to the brand's usual designs.

Stair 2
Showroom to Bottom Floor (Auto Fabrica):The choice of floating stairs in a spiral figure were inspired by Auto Fabrica's designs emphasising the curves and lining of a motorcycle which reflect the company's sophisticated image. The stairs are designed to be heavy, thick and overlap one another as a portrayal of the motorcycle's construction.
